Mission Statement

It is the mission of Xcellable to provide emergency responders with quality educational resources, including training programs and technology solutions to deliver them. We believe that education is a key component to the safe and effective provision of emergency services to the public. Service to others is a value that we hold in the highest regard and guides our path as we strive to provide necessary resources for those who serve us all in our time of greatest need. It is a privilege and an honor, unparalleled by any other, to serve our nation's first responders and we will do so to the absolute best of our abilities and talents.

Our Team

Stephen Byrd, President/CEO

Stephen has a demonstrated history in Emergency Medical Services. He is skilled in design and development, team building and education development as well as patient care. In addition to leading the Xcellable team, he is also an active Critical Care Paramedic.

Tim Hobbs, Review Committee

Tim is an experienced Critical Care Paramedic and holds certifications as an EMT Instructor/Coordinator, ACLS instructor, PALS instructor, affiliate faculty in PHTLS, AMLS and EPC, and is a TECC instructor. He has over 16 years of experience in education delivery and is currently an EMS supervisor and SWAT medic.

Renee Jacobs, Instructor, Review Committee

Renee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia Southern University in Healthcare Administration. She is an RN and paramedic with 8 years of flight experience. She has experience teaching AHA, NAEMT, CAPCE, ANCC and other classes to all levels of EMS providers.

Gabriel Bennett, Review Committee

Gabriel is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, with experience in law enforcement. He is an assistant instructor for EMT education and has 9 years of experience.

Frank Berlanga, Review Committee

Frank is an experienced educator in law enforcement and EMS, with training in tactical weapons, hostage negotiation, SCUBA diving, hazardous materials and confined spaces, as well as others. He currently works as an EMS instructor and is an actively practicing paramedic.

Lee Pigg, Review Committee

Lee is a Critical Care Paramedic, with a background in emergency telecommunications. He is also a Basic Life Support instructor with 5 years of experience.

Ted Redman, MD, MPH, Medical Director

Dr. Redman received his degree from Georgia State University and attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He is board certified in Emergency Medical Services and holds certifications as a flight surgeon, flight paramedic, ATLS instructor, ACLS instructor and PALS instructor.
